Dusting (26 April)

~hauls water to her Jarls home and boils a large pot full then drags the furs from upstairs out front and piles them on the porch next dragging the downstairs fur out as well. she hangs each one over the railing and beats them with the broom then rolls them up one at a time and piles them against the wall. filling a bucket from the pot on the fire and adding some cold water and soap she carries it up the stairs setting it aside while sweeping the floor and the stairs then with a scrub brush on hands and knees she cleans the floor working her way backwards down the stairs scrubbing as she goes. downstairs she shovels out the ashes from the fireplace and oven and lays in fresh wood which she then lights. dusts off the mantle, her Jarls throne and all the furniture as well as washing the table top. she sweeps up all the dust and ashes and dumps them in the grass outside goes back in and scrubs the floor thoroughly. finally she carries in the furs and replaces them all where they go. she places a plate of fruit and cheese and some freshly baked sa tarna buns on the table along with several talendars in a small vase. she heads out for the daily harvesting to get the evening meal prepared~
